Ex-'Apprentice' Considers Congressional Run Raj Bhakta, the bow-tied entrepreneur from season two of "The Apprentice," is thinking about ditching the private sector for a run at Congress.Bhakta, who lives Fort Washington, Pa., is considering a run for the 13th District House seat currently held by Democrat Allyson Schwartz in 2006. Schwartz, a former state senator, was elected to her first term in Congress last year by a fairly wide margin.According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, local GOP officials have thus far been unable to convince more seasoned politicians to challenge Schwartz. Ken Davis, chairman of the Montgomery County Republican Party, says the 29-year-old Bhakta "has all the ingredients to be a good candidate."In appearances since being booted off season two of "The Apprentice" last year, Bhakta has talked about running for political office. He tells the Inquirer that he's "always had a deep love of this country. I have a special appreciation as a first-generation American." His father was born in India and his mother in England.During his time on the show, Bhakta became known for his sartorial sense -- including his bow ties -- his frequent use of 50-cent words and his often-comical attempts to hit on women, including tennis star Anna Kournikova and Donald Trump's receptionist, Robin. His business career includes investment in a hotel and retail project in the ski town of Vail, Colo., and the founding of a tech company that focused on the valuation of pre-owned cars.
